Italy – Investment Incentives
May 2018 the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Economic Development launched an implementing decree which regulates the access to tax incentives for individuals and companies investing in startups and innovative SMEs. The decree was published on the Official Gazette on July 5, 2019
The provision enhances the tax incentives for investments in innovative startups and extends them to all innovative SMEs.
A compass to find your way into Italian economic benefits
Navigating bureaucracy can be extremely challenging in Italy especially for foreigner entrepreneurs. Keeping this in mind, the Ministry of Economic Development together with other government agencies have put together a user-friendly handbook to provide entrepreneurs, business owners and citizens with a basic guide on the numerous incentives available in Italy. Thanks to the handbook, it is possible to find the right incentive for one’s needs (starting a business, invest in innovation, machinery, software, training etc. R&D, tax benefits and many other).
