Attorney Marco Mazzeschi has contributed to the White Paper on the governance of economic migration, offering insights on white-collar immigration to Italy, its current situation, difficulties, and challenges.
In January 2023 Fondazione ISMU published its White paper on the governance of economic migration. The document provides decision-makers and economic actors with insights into and proposals for managing labour migration and developing effective schemes for matching labour demand and immigrant labour supply. Some of the recommendations aim to better promote the social and labour integration of migrants, with one chapter fully devoted to measures against migrant labour exploitation (particularly in the agricultural and care sectors) and the promotion of migrant worker protections. Issues such as the recognition of professional qualifications and the multiplication of professional training proposals for immigrants are addressed too.
