Together with Ca’ Foscari University, we are organizing a special event to discuss about some relevant aspects of Italy – Japan immigration.

The aim of this event is to give an overview of the Italian and Japanese (mainly business) immigration to the students and young professionals that are (or will be) working with Japanese people.

It will be an in-person meeting.

SEMINAR ON IMMIGRATION BETWEEN ITALY AND JAPAN: CHALLENGES AND ISSUES FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

✨Wednesday 17 May 2023 at 11:00 (CEST)✨

Yuu Shibata, Noriko Akazawa (Akazawa Office), Eleonora Rossi and Enrico Fiore, representatives of the MAZZESCHI S.R.L. Law Firm, present in collaboration with GESSHIN an interactive seminar on the immigration situation between Italy and Japan.

The main purpose of the seminar is to compare the Japanese and Italian immigration systems in the workplace, with a particular focus on the challenges and issues affecting young professionals. In particular, we would like to encourage and encourage linguistic and cultural exchange among students intending to work in the Italian-Japanese network, creating awareness of the difficulties of those facing a transfer for work reasons and illustrating what the immigration options are for young people Italian professionals who would like to work in Japan. This exchange will be encouraged by the interventions of experts in the sector, on the Japanese and Italian side, encouraging students to inform themselves and consider in time the aspects concerning immigration and its possible obstacles.

The main speakers will be professionals active in the sector: in fact, Yuu Shibata, PhD in European Law at the University of Bologna and Legal Consultant for the Japan Desk, will participate, together with Eleonora Rossi, Immigration Consultant and Japan Desk assistant , and Enrico Fiore, translator and collaborator with the Mazzeschi law firm. Dr. Noriko Akazawa, a Japanese lawyer based in Tokyo specializing in immigration law, will then be introduced remotely.

We would like to give as much space as possible to dialogue between the students present, doing group activities discussing what the speakers have said.

The event will be held in classroom MF1 (San Basilio educational hub) with free access subject to availability; however, prior completion of the questionnaire at the link https://forms.office.com/e/FKPabFdgqL is required.

The seminar is organized by Irene Renzi, Valentina Forneris, Enrico Pistollato, GESSHIN Student Association, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, in collaboration with the Mazzeschi Firm.
