Free Entry for Professional Athletes

Free Entry for Professional Athletes
11 August 2020

Athletes and supporting staff who need to enter Italy to take part in international sport events can do so even if they are coming from a country from which travel is banned (Armenia, Bahrein, Bangladesh, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Kuwait, North Macedonia, Moldova, Oman, Panama, Perù, Dominican Republic, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia) and are exempted from observing a  14 days self-isolation period upon arrival on condition that they have taken a Covid-19 test, proving negative, 48 hours before entry.

Travellers must have with them a document reporting the negative test results and their full personal data and must confirm the test result in the mandatory self-declaration to be provided by anyone entering the country from abroad.
