The official Investor Visa for Italy platform (investorvisa.mise.gov.it) is currently not available. The Secretariat of the Investor Visa for Italy Committee (Segreteria del Comitato, the office that handles all communications with applicants) has reported that the technical department confirmed the platform is offline for security reasons. The service will be restored as soon as possible. No date has been given.
Under the Investor Visa for Italy guidelines, the platform is the channel for every communication with the administration. Applicants use it to submit the request for the nulla osta (the clearance the consulate needs before issuing the investor visa), to upload proof that the investment or donation was made within three months of entry, and to apply for the authorisation needed to renew the permesso di soggiorno per investitori (the investor residence permit).
While the platform is down, none of these steps can be completed.
The Secretariat has not said whether deadlines are suspended during the outage, so do not assume they are. If a deadline is running, it is a good idea to keep evidence that the platform could not be used.
Each time you try to access the platform, you may take a screenshot showing the error page together with the date and time of the attempt (for example, with your computer clock visible on screen), and keep the screenshots. This material may help if you later need to explain a delay. It is also advisable to check the platform multiple times every day.
